Our logistics and warehousing paging systems are used by very large companies around the world very successfully indeed and the new CS8 text messaging pager that can send colour messaging is a new LRS innovation that takes logistics much further.
This website is not a large site and is not really reflective of all the equipment we supply. Our focus is always on communications, whether for two-way radios, on-site paging systems, specialised advanced interfaces (like the CT interface that can integrate paging and two-way radios together) and some other equipment for certain vertical markets. For example we have a product called CaptureCall that can be used with call buttons and can collect data from the on-site messaging for later analysis.
LRS comes originally from the development of paging systems for restaurants and is well known for that, but today we also supply a very extensive and useful number of devices that are targeted to enhance LRS equipment. One example is ChallengeCall - a system that helps to stop under age gambling on fruit machines - that is a problem for operators and our low cost ChallengeCall helps to stop it happening. That system was developed from a request by a large UK operation and I'm happy to confirm it is operational today.
Another important transmitter developed here in the UK is our OEM-TX. That is a 7 contact unit that can monitor each contact either open/closed or closed/open and send a different message for each of the seven monitored connections. It is a powerful device that we have used extensively in fire alarm systems and even to notify a deaf person if there is a fire alarm on-site that is going off. It is UK law that companies that have deaf persons visiting have to provide an alternate means of notification when a fire alarm is activated.
While you may or may not have heard of LRS before, in fact we have been trading in the UK since back in 1989 in technology products and services and support. In 2000 we decided to work with LRS from Dallas TX, and today we're still doing that. Over the years we have won the office of the year no less than SEVEN times and that really is not easy to achieve. But it does show our commitment from the UK to our customers and the levels of support that we give them. From LRS UK we offer a full 3 year warranty (but not to corporates) on our products for manufacturing defects.
