How the logistics system works

This logistics and warehouse solution uses a very specific brand new CS8 text pager that has messaging on it, but its also extremely robust and can take the rigours of everyday use in any logistics situation.

Here's how it works in general: When the truck arrives at the gate house, the driver is given this unit and instructed to park where trucks wait to be called to the loading bay. The information for the truck and its pager number is passed to control. When its time to get the truck to the waiting unloading/loading bay, the controller simply messages the respective pager number, the driver receives the message that includes the bay number to proceed to and drives to the waiting bay - no messing around, no chasing, no delay! Its about as efficient as it gets!

 

But there is more to LRSConnect for logistics and warehousing

 While operators do NOT have to use LRSConnect system, it can be integrated in to the logistics solution we provide. as mentioned above. This cloud based software can show on screen each registration, how long the truck has been waiting and importantly, if the wait period is longer than the target time. A clear display showing the exact current position of waiting trucks is an important feature you should not ignore.

Another feature of the software is that you can produce full reporting features that show the efficiencies of the operation regarding the movement of trucks and waiting times.

If the company operates multiple sites then they can all be consolidated in to one report if needed.
