A Robust First Aid Call Point
You need a call point that
can stand up to the rigours of everyday life in areas
that can be compromising for equipment longevity?
This First Aid long range call button offers a one or two button device and is designed to operate for years
This first aid paging system has been sold by us for many years throughout the UK, Ireland and even Iceland. One of the great features is that customers that have these units rarely ever have any failed devices - which is an important aspect of ensuring long term coverage on any site for fast response when there are any on-site incidents - and speed is always essential.
Here's how it all works:
When there is some sort of incident on-site someone will press the call button to notify first aid staff that there is an emergency. The transmitter can message a number of employees and they will attend as quickly as possible. When the first aid person arrives, they can quickly assess the true position of the incident, then if necessary, they can 'swipe' the pager over the transmitter that sends a message to other employees to say the incident has been handled. This is a very novel way of making teams more efficient and reducing lost time without affecting the service response in any way.
Options available
The image on the right shows two different PFS options available (while stocks last) - one button unit and a two button unit. Programming any button is simple and the message attached can be almost anything with a message length up to 160 characters. In the case of the two button unit, many customers program one button for emergency and first aid and the other button for use as a fire alarm. This way the unit adds value and has a higher usage than a single button device; however, many companies prefer the single button unit. These devices are usually mains powered so they work continuously but sometimes there is no mains power available and so they can then work with battery power albeit with some reduced ability regarding the 'swipe' feature.
The paging devices
The CT alphanumeric pager
This unit has been developed by Capture Technologies (part of the LRS UK group) from us and is a tried and tested unit capable of long service. And there's nothing like a TEXT message and that's the reason these alpha text pagers are often purchased. The robust call button can message with up to 160 characters per message and the pager itself can store the last 20 messages.
This unit operates on a single AAA battery and in the settings, you can automatically setup the device so that it turns on and off before and after a shift - which saves battery use tremendously; achieve up to three months of use from one battery. Can use rechargeable batteries too!
